George Aiken Taylor was a Presbyterian minister. He also worked with Alcoholics Anonymous, served as editor of the The Presbyterian Journal and in leadership positions within the conservative movement of the Presbyterian Church in the United States. His final position was as president of Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, before his sudden deaht 3 months into office.
